Hurray I am finally in Perth.
Got a bus from the airport to the door of the hostel last night for $2o, not too bad.
Perth is like a ghost town at 2am and the clean wide streets make it feel a little surreal when you arrive here for the first time.
Gotta go now as I have 3 vans to look at today.
Oh yea the weather is fantastic!!!

Airports
If you have to fly through Changi airport in Singapore anytime make sure you have a couple of hours there, not to get through security or anything like that but its a pretty cool place.
Go to the Transit Hotel an take a dip in the outdoor pool on the roof. I will post a pic shortly. Its great to relax after an 11 hour flight and even have a nap on the sun loungers. They give you a towel just remember your swim suit/shorts/budgie smugglers and suncream if you burn easily. It only costs about 6.30 euro if you are not staying at the hotel.
I fairly knackered now and am just about to board the flight to Perth. Its about 32 degrees here at the moment and a welcome change from Ireland. Next time I fly through here i shall give myself some time to explore Singapore itself. Next stop Perth

Leaving and Preparing
Its a week now until I leave for West Australia. I cant wait to get on the water! Its been about 3 months since my last windsurf on Bertra in Mayo, much too long.

I have been keeping myself sane by doing plenty of mountain biking in Mullaghmeen forest which is about 10 miles away, with my mate Jimmy. Keeping myself fit and having fun also which is good.
I am gonna try and post as often as I can on this while im travelling. When I sold all my windsurf gear with the idea of getting some in perth. I thought it would be easier not to travel halfway across the world with a mountain of gear, hope I was right and get my hands on gear when I get there, well im looking forward to a change of boards and sails anyway. There will be reviews of anything i get to try.
I have been looking at http://www.seabreeze.com.au/ for weather reports and equipment. The equipment section is really good with loads of gear on it. Its a good idea to scroll to the ads which are posted for free as they dont appear on the first page when you search. There arn't any pictures but better deals sometimes.
Check out http://perth.gumtree.com.au/ for camper vans. It's also a really good site with campers coming up for sale almost daily.
Just one more week of cold and rain......
